I would love to post the email I just got from my boss. Was told to mail my stuff back Monday. She did not want to wait till Monday to RIF me. Said she was to busy with important stuff. Wow really. Tell that to my kids. Hope I can feed them. Their dads laid off too so no child support. Can it get worse? Bye work family and friends!

Getting bad vibes from a mgmt call I just got off of that layoffs for us is looming large and going to be reaching a big swath of people who would have never thought they would be let loose. It’s our industry and I have been around it decades so let’s see what happens. Or is it just a few bad breakfast tacos?? I am betting it’s from the call.

Who all thought my prepared script on the quarterly call was just magical? I thought I did a great job and am deserving of another raise. I’m not worried about being tracked, as I’m the boss of the entire place. Anyway, I remain hard at work today with laser focus trying to find quantum for us. Julio and I are out of the office today looking at some new deals.

Looked up GPS. That’s our office and only a few people in IT today. I was one of them. I have a pretty good idea who IT was and IT would be a shock to know a “leader” made that post using their company phone even with the Verizon masker program. He is such a smug “leader” that IT was a giveaway with his subtle comment about social media like this site specifically.
Hey everyone. I’ve truly tried to gain some insight by talking to people in the past about the outlook for our company. Obviously it’s a bit a challenge now. I don’t feel comfortable enough to send texts to coworkers, as I feel it would be used against me if my management found out. But I am really feeling nervous here that we’re going to have a massive org change here which would include staff cuts. Hopefully they won’t see that I wrote this from my work cell phone. Someone please provide a candid post that will tell the whole story. The BOD has to be pushing for layoffs, right? Or am I wrong? I just know what to think any more. Thanks in advance!

It’s almost 11 PM here in the East. Can’t sleep. Read this thread and between a belly laugh cause of the call posts and the dread from the truth. Won’t sleep well wondering if this week layoffs will be announced. Wishing for a peaceful nights rest.

So happy to see my work family call out what we truly are and that is a sinking ship with a Captain who sounds like a “broken record”. We are not immune to layoffs. Mark this post, it will happen in 2Q. We will join the ranks of the other 30MM in the unemployment line!
Anyone who listened to the recent earnings should listen again, and Nill Pay's duplicitous and disingenuous nature was on full display. He first praises the employees for their selfless dedication and hard work. But later glosses over the fact that he continues to cut expenses by laying off employees. If they were so highly valued, why do you constantly lay them off Nill?
Also, the only way they can get to $60 million in further cuts is to sell two rigs at $30 million each or lay off about 400 employees at $95,000 salary plus another $50,000 each for benefits.
Listen to Julio closely, The SG&A number they are aiming for is 400 employees at SWN, not 800. They get beat up by the street for having too many people, so look for more rig sales, more layoffs and zero efforts to be seen as green and community minded.
Nill is a man without a soul, heart or any inner values. He's totally corrupt and will do anything to keep his job and that means lying daily to employees.

I for one will check the audio. I am almost certain someone asked about color of cost reductions and layoffs were mentioned.
I was one of the hundreds of employees who listened to the call. Not one word on layoffs.
