You mean “Con”cast would do this to their hard working reps?!! Anytime that you have a Jew run company that cares more about $ than their people this is bound to happen. However, now Concast supports a communist based Black Lives Matter group that is hell bent on the destruction of the country. This Company really has their priorities straight. Boycott Concast !!!

I got the axe in October of 2019 after 15 successful years in Direct Sales. Thanks Comcast.

ADT Security's largest authorized dealer is DOUBLING DOWN on direct sales, with expansion plans from 54 active markets to 100 markets nationwide during these layoffs. When other companies are saying no to direct sales, Safe Haven Security is saying yes. If you'd like an opportunity in direct sales, direct sales management nationwide - please connect with me on Linkedin. Wishing all of you the very best in your search.

Direct sales is no longer a viable business model - what a load of c-ap. Direct sales for Comcast just wasn't the most "profitable" model. That said, it's tough being put in this position by a company that isn't struggling financially - just one that wants to get healthier...

It all went downhill when a great leader took a promotion and went to corporate. Ever since then we never had a voice. Instead they put someone with limited leadership experience in charge. This person has no heart, and no idea what they are doing. I feel that this division will soon be entirely resolved. Good luck all!

I left 4 years ago to become a real estate agent, after an 8 year stay in direct sales for comcast. WOW does that choice keep looking better and better. Good luck everyone.

It was all divisions. Some eliminated DTD entirely and some scaled back a lot.

It happened and as for the one referring to the slackers being severed. Most who were supposedly performing, definitely did it lacking lots of integrity! So they can keep those who find out ways to rob them, rather than trying to burnout people
Who do it the right way! I was offered severance, and my skill set will be honored somewhere else! Not with a company who finds ways for us not to make money, so then in return The masses resort to fraud, then we All are penalized! Then we’re called slackers... 🤣 yeah keep your mafia tactics Comcast☺️😉

Layoffs will continue on to the cable, WiFi, and voice teams. Hearing middle management will be the main target.

Is it true the DS layoffs weren't national and only occurred in certain divisions? The Central division let all DS employees go, but I heard other places were still working, for example Minneapolis and some of the western states.

I was shocked they did this. South valley area lead the division and was completely wiped out. Made no sense. Forcing us to fight for 90 remains positions in the state and commute at least 3.5 hours a day if you were lucky to go to the closest area to work for $15-$20 bucks an hour for who knows how long and have your ABBR drop, and hope they don’t lay more off later.

Its True. I was with them for a decade. The severance was a lot so I couldn’t in my right mind take the call center job. The sad thing is they could have easily repurposed the department, there was a lot of work we could have done and i actually had a proposal that never made it to anyone significant.

Very true. I’m going to stick with the company. They gave me offer letter today as one of those 97 employees. Jobs will be scarce anywhere you look especially for us sales people. I think it’s a smart move if you get the position just for the job security. Yes it will be significantly less money for some time but then again at least I’ll have employment.

Yikes, sad news but talented sales people will land on their feet and be an asset with another company after this reset.

Unfortunately MANY HARD working individuals just lost their livelihood in the midst of a pandemic where other sales positions will be scarce. They had one of the toughest jobs in the company, brought in millions for them each year and let go at the snap of a finger. Other positions within the company do not offer even close to the salary given the commission. Oh and to top it off they left their employees with 30 days of courtesy services. Really Comcast, as if that is a make or break to a huge corporation. Given the circumstances could have atleast given 6 months minimum. Now not only have people lost their jobs but by the way start paying a HUGE bill. Very sad and totally disappointed in the company in which I felt always treated their workers well. Not the case anymore.

Now a former 25-year direct sales employee where the company will offer to bring you back at a lesser pay. How would anybody be surprised... It's Comcast. they will make themselves look good by giving internet essentials and free iPads to low-income families yet they don't want the direct sales channel to market the low-income areas. Comcast will be just fine think about it they will raise the modem another dollar which equates to millions of dollars a month of revenue etc etc

22 years as an employee. Top sales guy in our division for many of those years and my choices were severance or a job that paid me a third of what I was making.

True company had no choice at this point as it may be many months/ year b4 for to door will be viable again

Yep it’s true! Performers in sales will survive with many job offers within the company. The slackers will be gone with severance packages.

It’s an evolution of the business. Door to door direct sales unfortunately just isn’t that relevant anymore.

Comcast is a globalist company They s— the life out of most sales people that work for them with no regard to their future or their families. Cut the cord. The cable cord It's easy and with just internet you can stream almost any news station and entertainment channels through Apple or Hulu or Google.

Correct, Direct Sales is furloughed for a month then will be laid off. Some can apply for limited restructured positions. Very sad day for many hardworking salespeople. Best wishes to everyone affected.

Post ID: @ywa+14KJnpT7

Yep beginning may 17th direct sales in California has the option to Furlough for a month than reapply for 97 job openings for direct sales position. The thing is we’re 205 including LOA employees 😭
