No, that is grounds for termination. Anyone paying then making their own food could over portion Or be paying for something cheap like a grilled cheese and getting a full size sandwich or bean and cheese burrito and be getting a loaded burrito. Always have a team member to make your food.
If you’re broke and are hungry Talk to your Team leader and ask them to maybe do something for you like buy you a meal. If you have to much pride to ask or are concerned with covid, bring lunch from home . But don’t lose your job for food.

All prep foods lie on logs.
Things rarely get cleaned.O.t.s. missed several things along with team member side effects due to implementation of the program and that resulted in all teams with the same issue across the company
In other words it pinned team members vs team members.
They now call it store process.

You cant pay it and make it yourself. You can pay it and have some else make it for you. If its a small one single steak then yeah it’s ok. If it’s a meal for a family then there “should” be an extra charge but not always. That should be brought up to store leadership and they’ll analyze the situation better. It’s a case by case on types like this. Under normal circumstances catering would be the only option.
