Management back in the office next week

This should be good to see how many RIFs will come in the following weeks.

Oh my God, you guys. This thread is full of trolls. Don’t respond to their comments about working seven days a week or weekends.

Also, we can take heart because somewhere out there is a wunderkind telling us to “buckle up”. lmao.

Don’t feed the trolls and carry on.

It’s Friday and I need my team working this weekend. Also, the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, I need my team online. You won’t get a bravo from this manager but you will remain on the payroll if you do as I say. I need you guys working at a most crucial time. Remember the time is now- and you need to work extra hard and long hours. Let’s all support the cause.

Do the right thing guys

I’m not sure what this is all about. I’ve only been here 2yrs and I continue to excel and climb that ladder. My VP has told me that “I’m a one of a kind”. I continue to get perks. It’s amazing to see my work payoff. You guys need to buckle up and shine when it counts. I continue to shine, get perks, parking, lunches, bonus, bonus PTO, all whiplike others exit. I’m just not sure what some of these folks are doing??

Please take to heart the positions of management. We depend on workers to over achieve so we can sit back and reap the rewards. We depend on your knowledge and expertise so we can get away with not knowing anything. We need you to work 10+ hours a day, weekends, holidays, cancel PTO, and do work from home and not reporting it to maintain. Managers get paid salary, we can't be "working" for more than a few hours a day. Let's all come together and push for 7 days a week, 10-12 hour workdays, no PTO, no holidays, and a pay decrease plus reduced benefits with higher co-pays. Let's do this for UHC...

Sincerely,

Your Manager

lol most of the people who get laid off will be getting Paid with the free money being given out. Depending on your state and your income level could be looking at a 20% raise when getting that RIF. Not a bad time for it to come if it is gonna come.

This is exactly why I need staff to work 10hrs a day and weekends. It the right thing to do! Please continue to shine bright and show what you got at all times.

No official word yet but the subtle warning signs are all there for another RIF.

A former Senior Director that was affected by the layoffs last year hopes someone files a lawsuit on discrimination. That is sad when upper management has no faith.

@7jma+14ODnNvx Yes! Especially since they probably thought their jobs are safe, since no one was laid off during the pandemic. It’s actually quite smart of them to do it this way.

With this next RIF a lot of folks are going to be caught off guard.

There is a huge RIF coming up. All areas watch as reqs are cancelled first to save money. Then come the layoffs. Within a month.

I was laid off back in November 2019, not because I was not doing my share as a senior manager supporting my team after other other layoffs. I was laid off because my senior director did not like me after I would not take his abuse and challenged him. It’s sad that managers like him exist within the company and their senior managers and directors protect them. But at the end things have gotten better by not working there.

I see a lot of people signed on today doing good deeds for the needs! Thank you for your continued support. Please don’t stay on any longer than 10 hours. Please also make sure and sign on tomorrow as well, it’s a team effort and we are all in this together. We are grateful to be your managers. I’m signing off for the weekend but please keep up the hard work this weekend. Remember, it’s the right thing to do so we can all remain team members.

Dear Manager,

I will NOT give up my weekends for you and this company. I will not work more than my 40 hour work week and no matter what I do, I know you will not appreciate my efforts. I will either be laid off OR the more unfortunate and have to pick up the slack for those you did lay off. Literally every person I know is looking to find a new position outside of this company. No one cares to even be here anymore beyond the transition period of finding a new job.

I cannot elaborate on who was let go as a professional manger. Unfortunately, there are a few folks on here that were let go today. It’s your choice to believe what you want. I’m here to “save” those that can be “saved”

For those of you that were “saved” thank you for your continued support! I only ask if could please work 10hours a day with a short lunch and bathroom breaks. Working weekends will also support my team and I appreciate you giving up your weekend. It’s not like we can do much anyway on the weekend. Just think- if you work weekends- you will be saving your job, and the lives of others. In the end we all need to work like our overseas partners.

To the manager who said work overtime and weekends... people who work around the clock are less productive and get sick of work and leave. So NO THANKS! I will continue putting in a full 8 hour day, 5 days per week.

A lot of back and forth on this website lately. Management must be scared and I read in another post that they are looking to cut managers who aren't productive... so to all the jerk managers who posted mean comments on here..when they get eliminated we can all say well someone overseas does a better job. You should have done a better job and worked weekends.

Best thing you guys can do is work hard, and work extra hours including weekends. Show your worth, stand out and donate to the cause. Appreciate the efforts. Let’s all push for 7 days a week to get through this and hope for the best in the end

These are more lies. I am a human capital manager and am in the know each time there is a rif. It did not happen. Please have a conscience and stop spreading untruths.

What a bunch of BS!! Anyone collecting unemployment pay right now receives the additional pandemic unemployment pay. Anyone who reads the news knows this. Nothing happened today and this is just more ignorant lies.

Layoffs today. 450+ people. During a pandemic but not subject to pandemic unemployment pay. Way to go UHC. Just shows what a jerk of a company you really are.

I’m a firm believer that if management is not helping out with the workload they need to go!

Other large companies are laying off executives, bigger bang for the buck and less overhead. They need the employees that keep the company running.
