It was revealed to the US Securities and Exchange Commission in a filing on May, 1, 2020, that CEO Bruce Thorn received a total compensation package of 6.55 million dollars for FY 2019. This is more than a million and a half MORE than the previous year. This is despite the fact that the company showed relatively flat same-store sales from 2018 to 2019. GREEDY Bruce had imposed a 2% pay increase cap for ALL management in early 2019, and had eliminated thousands of jobs. Now, he's forced Lisa Bachmann off the Board of Directors, and she's leaving the company effective 9/4/20. Looks like Bruce has HIS eyes on the 4.29 million dollar compensation package that Lisa received in 2019. Bruce is a vicious money-hungry swine, who's being allowed by other board members to enrich himself at the cost of jobs and the well-being of his entire management staff. We can only get 2% annual pay increases, but "hard-working" Bruce was given a THIRTY PERCENT pay increase from 2018 to 2019. We need to band together and get Bruce booted out of the company at next month's virtual shareholders meeting (6/10/20)!

It's a SHAME that so many of you are afraid to comment on here. You CAN'T get fired for posting anonymously on this board. Now, Bruce has eliminated the $2/hr. essential worker/hazard pay, even though COVID cases are still rising across most of the country. Also, Big Lots has experienced a 35% sales increase in the past quarter, and its stock has been booming too. So, now, he wants to see even MORE profit, because he's such a greedy scumbag. WE are going to extinguish your North Star and take you down soon, Brucie Boy. You have no idea how to "create a workplace culture second to none!" YOU are a BAD joke of a CEO!
