IT and Cloud Industry is struggling to find a way out from this crisis, there are lightnings like Zoom that can give some oxygen, while is clear where and how the other corpos are really struggling around. We will see falling quarters and very low sales numbers, and this is a wide scenario, hitting everyone, from Google to Amazon, from ORCL to Apple... My question to you is, what is your mood, your sentiment about what is happening? Is this the right time to jump? Before to being pushed?

I expect there will not be many chances to move to other companies in the next couple of years. If you can move, you should. But, I believe there are lots of people who should have gotten their sh– together and moved already. Being at Oracle, which is already a disaster area, through the economic crash that this coming, will not be a good thing. If you dreamed of getting a package and taking some time off before you looked for the next job, consider getting that package and having no jobs open to apply for. It's not going to be good.
Many people should have jumped already. Don't put things off when they concern something as important as your career and income. Nobody who could have jumped elsewhere, should have stayed at Oracle.
Oracle class of 9/17 here. Sit tight. As a hiring manager, my reqs have been locked, and my contractors furloughed 1 day a week. I'm no longer with Oracle, obviously. If I was not being heavil;y recruited for a reason, I would stay put.
Jump where? Is anyone really hiring right now? Sure, they have "openings" on their websites, but are they on hold until further notice?
Is it time to steal stuff and sell it on eBay?
