FTS travel

As OFD I know travel is audited extensively. Who and why and if it makes sense. It’s clear OFS FTS travel has raised a lot of flags for “anomalies”. If and when travel does occur expect it to be the OFD way, not the OFS version

The famous ETG “off site” meetings.....now those are some T&E expense reports that needed to be audited - some pretty unscrupulous things done on those trips and some of those people are still here.

There we many in the old ETG that would travel several times a month with little purpose. Many trips to Las Vegas for things like vm world or some Dell / EMC event that had little to business value. Teams were taken to remote sites for meetings and then thousands spend on go-kart outings as well as thousands more on food and drinks.

Original Fiserv needed to have some controls and audits on travel. It was nothing to see large groups of people hauled across the country for a few hour meeting. Then hundreds spent on meals and drinks. Meetings that could easily be facilitated by a call or teams meeting. Staff in our group would find any reason to travel on the company dime with the pretense of client relationships. So if this is the one good thing First Data brings I say great. Business travel is 99% a total waste of time in our technology driven world. Unless you are in sales, I am betting the rank and file will happily stay grounded. Three days out of office, T & E for a few hour meeting. Ridiculous and routine in old Fiserv world. The new regime wants to continue cost cutting here is a great opportunity.
