By that ignorant logic executives all over the country actually owe everyone else money based on their obligation to earn a profit. The blatant falsehood is that companies are beholden to majority share holders and or board of directors. They merely have a piece of the company, the employees make the company economically viable and conduct the day to day operations. Sooner or later the economic slaves will understand that’s the reality because they’ve been conditioned into the republican motto of believing they serve the economy instead of the economy serving the people. That’s how the largest transformation of wealth from 1980 to the present created the income inequality the country experiences today as each citizen prior to 1980 was poised to be $10k (not adjusted for inflation) wealthier than his or her parents and wealthy decided they had to destroy that progress.
