Hobby Lobby laid off hundreds of part time employees rather than pay them any amount of emergency pay. 1000s of warehouse workers still have no idea if they still have a job, and say they were told they may find out from a 'note posted on the door'

Many stores and restaurants have closed and their employees have filed for unemployment. Why aren’t you bashing all of them also?
Not surprised...this company has a LONG history of unconscionable decisions. If they had the last rolls of toilet paper in the world, I would rather find poison ivy to use.
I'm an independent reporter and would love to speak with employees. Please email me: julie@julieroys.com
your know by fruit you bear looks and smells like rotten tomatoes
Yes some people have been permanently laid off. They were notified by email.
Most of the part timers at my store have been fired, as well as one full time employee. There was a letter posted on our bulletin that was also read to the employees that were terminated.
That’s the risk of being a temp employee. You can be laid off for any reason on any day. TEMPORARY. What, are they going to lay off full time vested people so they can keep temps? Grow up. Any business would do this.
This is a lie. Thousands still don't know? We all knew Wednesday that there is a temporary closure. It wasn't done by a note on the door and they didn't tell the temps they were laid off. Told them they can come back too.
I was laid off. I am part time and called in office and given a letter, which I was not aloud to copy or keep, that said I was being laid off/covid-19. Told to file unemployment.
Shameful act by a shameful company. Good Christians everywhere should be embarrassed by these moves. No regard for their staffs well being. Hobby lobby should not be able to receive a single penny from the stimulus package.
Mighty Christian of them
