40HRLY non salaried Execs

What is the deal with the 40HRLY Non salaried execs not being allowed to come into work and help? They are the ONLY ones in the company that aren’t getting a paycut and DO NOT HAVE TO WORK! What the f_???
I am a salaried sales manager working my butt off, while the store is closed. I don’t mind because I’m getting paid and I need to help get the store workload done while it’s closed. I want to make my people’s lives easier when they come back to work because the work will be caught up.
I know they are trying to limit how many people are in the stores, but that isn’t happening anyway- this company says on the calls they are following CDC but they aren’t. We are doing projects hand and hand next to one another. I’m so mad!!!!! They are seriously getting paid full to do nothing at home! How is that allowed, while others are working the job of many or taking a paycut??!!!

You stated 40 hour execs are the ONLY ones who didn’t get a pay cut. So that implies you think you got a pay cut. Just going by what you wrote.

I didn’t say our salary was cut, I said people are doing the work of many or people’s job we’re cut. EXCEPT THE SOEES. And we are working 8-5 mon-fri, no breaks and taking freaking ignite courses during our 30 min lunch breaks.

Hope you are not mad with us as I would gladly go in to help but told I can’t. I don’t know why either but clearly there must be a reason why. And your salary was NOT cut as a sales manager Only Directors and above took pay cuts. And you are technically not working 40 hours a week either

A salaried manager is an exempt employee . certain hourly managers such as leads visual and lp managers Are termed non exempt.

I don't know about executive pay structures. How come an hourly exec would still be paid if they didn't work? I thought that only applied to salaried exec. How does this work exactly? Thanks.

You might as well close the stores if you want to cut the hourly execs. They are the visual mgrs, receiving mgrs and ast mgrs. Stores would not run w/o them. I agree they should be working too, but they are just following what was mandated.

Unfair. Should cut half and half worker from the store and office if need to take action base on Financial Problem.

These rules differ by state. They are working within the state guidelines. You seem so personally offended that you are working harder then someone else. My company isn’t paying me. So be grateful you have work. When it comes to layoffs they will be the first to go and you will still be there.

They should bring them in and rotate with the salaried to minimize how many people are working together.
