How are they doing? Are these still happening?

What CLEC provisioning systems???? Hasn't all but Broadview been migrated into Windstream's "wonderful" systems? You know, Windstream has the market on good clean data and scalable systems right??? If you have any doubt go ask that A-Team responsible for migrations. THEY will tell you things are GREAT! Now the front line folks will beg to differ in a NY minute but not that A-Team! They are the BEST! Just ask 'em...especially their leader!! Couldn't find their way out of a wet paper sack I say!

Ding you got it. I've been a part of validation efforts in Paetec, Nuvox, and Earthlink provisioning. The CLEC provisioning systems are a complete nightmare and we still have problems with CLEC techs entering incorrect information when they make changes because they just want to get back in their truck.

Installs in our area on the pon network have been great. Customers are happy. Initially we had some hiccups but for the most part it is worked out. With the exception of rapid deployment group, they are useless. Send a picture of a terminal that has light & they say it hasn’t been put up yet so we can’t put a customer on it. Do it anyways & call btac, what do you know, they see the ont & provision it. Supposedly more fiber in a few other small towns coming this year in our ilec area.

NGMSS still isn incorrect and lacking info on these new turnups. 10 fail to every 1 success story. And customers are fed up with the failed cutovers. Couldnt be going much worse actually.....but thats par for the course for windstream. Install fails, check my side, close ticket with nobody to actually work with. Go back out in a few weeks and repeat as the same issue is still present. Month later I get a job to go to the collo and that side isnt complete or the path isnt built across our network. Then we wait for NGMSS to be corrected. Over and over and over. Not sure if these teams are outsourced overseas or what, but its difficult to say the least

Maybe we all just need to fight so we can get it out of our systems. Then we can hug it out and get back to work lol.

It hasn’t brought successful deployment to a halt. GPON installs are happening successfully everyday. The customers who have been turned up on fiber are all happy with it. The growing pains associated with new network architecture are being sorted out and WS finally is beginning the much needed move away from copper. Jamestown just happened to have a lot off new fiber that had to be gone over and corrected. Indexing is not the only way to do this but right now it’s the only way WS has in the tool kit so that’s what they are doing.

Yes that c-ap indexing FttP is still being deployed. The same architecture that has brought successful order activity to a crawl. Go out attempt to complete install and guess what no light. Look at Jamestown NY. Anyone involved with approving this design should be let go if they have not been as of yet.
