Thread regarding Fiat Chrysler Automobiles layoffs

FCA financial shape

Out of big 3 I believe FCA has the best cash position to weather the storm. Ford will be toast jelly and GM will survive.

Boobyfisher, I guess you have never worked in FCA or never taken the pain to open FCA balance sheet and compare it with Ford & GM. You don't have to go through all the stuffs, Just compare who has better cash flow and you will know where FCA stands. By the way apart from NA, FCA has also taken a huge hit in Italy, kind of double blow.

You are mistaken.
FCA is in a better cash position BECAUSE OF how cutthroat they are toward their own workers!

PROFIT OVER PEOPLE,
amigo.

FCA cash position is sooo good that in order to survive just for one more week they laid off 2000+ contractors without giving a second thought on what would happen to them and their families. Most of them would now be without medical insurance and will be unemployed for a longer period of time. This shows how FCA in order to save 2% of their profit has acted so inhumanly and immorally. Ford and GM will subsequently follow the style, but at least at the moment they are holding on of these people. This shows who has better financial stability, cash position and character as a company.
