Thread regarding Enterprise Rent-A-Car layoffs

Who else thinks this could have (and should have) been handled much better?

Just wondering if I'm alone in thinking this...

All this made me realize not to work with greedy corporations. Glad I have started a Masters program in a field that actually cares for helping others.

I work for The corporate office in Jacksonville Florida and I’m not gonna lie it was a pretty good experience for about a year until management changed and people started taking advantage of others peoples kindness for weakness. I was one of the first to be “let go” and the way they went about it was so unprofessional. My regional manager told me After the weekend they we’re cutting hours, but my area manager told me not to come back the next day and he told me in his office 20 minutes after she told me outside smfh. For someone that used to be there 30 minutes before the building even opened stayed an hour or 30 minutes after we closed, I had no idea about paid leave! Then on top of that my coworkers always talk sh– because I didn’t want to help them clean the car and I honestly feel like it doesn’t take three people to clean one vehicle unless it’s a van or a 15 passenger. Then my coworker put her hands on me and never got fired, other coworkers threatened me, and everybody was always mad because I didn’t take anyone’s b—s— or “work as a team”.

The way they handled this is completely outrageous!!! I work in Florida as an MT and they went about this the wrong way, especially forcing us to use vacation and CT to make hours.

I was told “file for unemployment” by my HR manager. WOW

I work at the Austin Airport. We had no type of PPE offered to us. The only thing we had was hand sanitizer and we were told to ration it... We had at least two cars returned from people that showed signs of having corona. We were told to leave the cars out in the sun and the heat should k–l the germs. Then they fired a bunch of drivers. I'll be getting two weeks pay at 40 hours (even though I work at least 50 weekly) but now I'm on furlough. So yeah I do think a billion dollar company could have handled this better.

The fact I was told I could send a check into payroll for my health insurance, when they're not paying me 😂 yes, it could have been handled alot better.
