So what I read from this is IBM wants to focus on OS, cloud platform, container platform, and AI platform.
As a point of comparison, AWS offers an OS, a cloud platform, a container platform, and an AI platform...and a whole host of other things that IBM doesn’t have.
AWS is approximately 25K people. IBM is 350K people.
The solution is staring them in the face. I don’t think IBM is smart enough to realize it though.
Problem is that the clients are not going with the RH strategy, and who can blame them.
Read number 3 and you can see your future. Enterprise focused services around a Redhat strategy. If you don’t fit that bill, better plan for changes in the near future
