RIFS: Assumptions vs Plans

There are a lot of posts here at the moment talking about massive layoffs coming next. We know from very recent history that this is the company's MO...site closures, hub strategy, etc.

Does anyone posting now actually know about PLANS in place for the next round of layoffs or are we all getting riled up over what we know to be inevitable, but have no concrete information yet to support?

I would like to hear from those who are in on the actual planning of the next round of RIFs, and the selection criteria they are using.

"Plans", yea, you will find out of their "Plan" when you are being walked out the door. Period.
That is their "Plan".
Senior leadership learned much from the early 90's multiple rounds of layoffs. Similar to how the Nazi's perfected "The showers", and Contentiously Improved the process, LEANED out the long lines, BlackBelted the sorting processes, and more importantly, learned what to communicate and what NOT to communicate. Senior management does not trust any manager below a Director for keeping "The Plan" secret. As mentioned above, THE LIST, is the rolling RIF list, that was a process tool learned from the 90's list. Yea, they use it for the nine block, and to give out PIP's, and to give those raises that range from 1.9% to 2.2%, but If you think THAT is the reason for the list, you are dreaming. The list IS the RIF list. Another LEARNED lesson is, that the List is legally defensible. The SS leaders call start the gassing in seconds, they just need to determine what percent they need for the showers, and keep the number under any State mandatory filings (Another lesson learned). If they say it is for performance, it is NOT a layoff. Don't forget with the scum we are dealing with, they have this all thought out, they have perfected the process.

1: The list of who got furloughed is the list used to rank RIF. Simple as that. This list was generated based on people not charging direct to customers.

2: don’t expect WARN notices. Legal has already weighed in that this could not be anticipated and that eliminates requirement to WARN in the US.

3: leadership is going day by day. They have no more information that the average cnn addicted worker sitting at home. The only thing they can see that you can’t is the balance sheet. If you have a good idea I’m sure they would listen.

4: I recommend you visit the L3 Harris page on this site where they are sharing their yearly raises.

OP back to say Do Not Respond to this post if you are considering sharing confidential info. I noticed this post has been shared, whereas the 20 or so others I checked have not. It was worth a try.
