Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

What is going on?

Just needed to make an open letter to the leaders of this company and store managers.
Just a few questions? How are you going to protect us? We have more people in our store than we ever have and there are whole families who are shopping like it is summer vacation. We have teenagers who are using our store to meet because everything else is closed down. We have whole familes shopping for toys and clothes like it is any other day. And yes we live in a state with total stay-at-home rules. Today we had 20 people in an aisle with food and we could not and would not stock the aisle until the people cleared. I mentioned it to management and they said to just do the best we could. What does that mean? We still don't have masks, gloves or plexiglas for the registers. We are told that they will be here in two weeks.
We also have not heard word one from the store manager. No meetings, no thank-you, no word on any plans to keep us safe. All we have heard is get the truck unloaded and get things stocked. ( I guess his bonus depends on it) Everything we have heard we have read on internet.
Also, how about those bonuses? Sure part time got $150 and full time got $300, but the other stores around us are giving $3-4 more an hour and some got $1000 bonuses. And how about the people who haven't worked since this thing began, why do they get a bonus and those of us who have worked and continue to work get the same bonus? Doesn't seem fair.
So mangement needs to have daily meeting to let us know what is going on and at least to say thank-you. And corporate needs to have a better plan than a few masks that don't protect us, but do protect the customer. And also a plan to keep people from bringing their whole families to the store to shop for clothes and toys. thanks for reading. Had to get this off my chest.
