Currently laying sales personnel off due to COVID-19. Within the last 10 days senior management has announced several "cost cutting measures" which include furloughs, layoffs, and pay cuts of ballpark 10%. Center locations are to remain open but without much help and hourly workers cannot get over 40 hours so the few remaining salaried are to carry all the weight of multiple positions.

I'm sure the big wigs didn't take one dollar off their salaries!
Laid off! So sorry to hear this! Wish you and your near and dear ones strength during these difficult times. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Hope the suits at Akron also get the "memos"! They have run this once great icon of American business acumen to ground with their baseless hype.
So after initially furloughing thousands of employees and extended this furlough twice all through emails and snail mail. Now after getting these messages twice about protecting careers and jobs we have been told we are layed-off.
Layoffs and furloughs alone; employees found out through generic email, typically. No support from corporate and its support channels. Stores required to be open 12+ hours a day seven days a week yet corporate positions that provide support to its money making stores open 9-5 cst on a good day. What’s a store to do located in different time zone or on a weekend that needs to resolve a issue immediately; nothing but take abuse from the customer.
As per announcement, payrolls of 9000 affected. Not sure where and when though.
Funny I’m a salaried employee at Goodyear and guaranteed $2800 per
Month which calculates to $15 per hour. Have covered my base for the last 10 years it shows that the corporate people truly don’t care I’ve seen it first hand for years in this company preaching safety but won’t
Spend a penny for safety typical
