The center where I work shares our workspace, that’s right desks and phones. Joke right ?

Network operation centers are set up like war rooms in many locations. Employees sit on top of each other. Any manager that hasn’t fixed that yet should be fired. Also shared tools will be a thing if the past. Welcome to the covid mellenium
Woud be funny if they put cubicles back. I know there is no chance of that
Everyone should be submitting this concern about shared workspaces to the “Ask Christy” button so they know how concerned we are.
Yeah that shared workspace model is working out great in basking ridge ... what the hell were they thinking
Basking Ridge and other locations were converted from cubicles to the Google Office bench setup. Objections raised about spreading of virus etc fell on deaf ears. It's time for Verizon to revisit that decision and create a safe working environment today for it's employees.
Seems to me, that they offered work from home to most, if not all, call center workers quite a while ago. Did that fizzle out, or did they leave the decision to the individual?
So my suggestion to you is to find your director’s weak spot, and capitalize on it. Is this your first day here? Wow, wake up. You can have your own private space by the end of today if you put a little effort in. Don’t let them steer you! Take the wheel!
There isn’t plenty of room. They close building and stuff more people into remaining ones. The question now is will they keep more and more people at home or maybe do full scale cafeteria style free for all seating.
Can't imagine why they would be. They slashed 40% of their employees over the past 5 years. Leaves plenty of room for the survivors.
