"I came home absolutely exhausted every single day and on my off days I so exhausted that all I wanted to do was sleep." But wait, there was more work the VPSM made us do from home. His slogan: If you aint on the bus, you can get off. In layman's terms, if you dont like it, quit. This was being said 5 years ago. Way before this epidemic came about. Funny how I stayed on the bus and now await a 2 month stop over for the next bus in June if we get called back from furlough.

Coming home exhausted is a retail thing, not just a Macy's thing.

The crazy thing is most associates will never have the opportunities granted to the woman in that article. Most "development programs" are now aimed at recent college graduates. A few associates might move into supervisory positions, but those typically pay nowhere near 50k per year.

It's a race to the bottom in much of the retail sector.
