Layoffs today. Managers found at 10am. They had no input

No. Internet access was shut off on the laptops shortly after they let people go. Later that night they fully locked people out of them
No. They didn’t.
Just wondering, did laid off people keep their laptops?
Managers were asked to stack rank around calibration time. For those not in leadership who do not know what calibration is, it's where the managers go in a room with the dept VP and HR and debate your review. Your headshot is shown along with your development areas and areas you excel in. Scores and ratings are discussed and can be adjusted at that time. The decision to promote or not promote someone is made then in that meeting. This happens every performance review cycle, which is why the performance review cycle lasts months, not just a week where you write your review. Then your manager writes theirs, and you meet on it.
Stacking ranking was asked of managers in the calibration meeting when presenting their teams.
From what everyone else they said, managers stack ranked everyone. And then leadership used the lists, salary, and the position to decide if they were kept or not.
They didn't layoff anyone that was recently hired which included the ceos daughter.
“BUT, how they chose the employees.....was embarrassing”
Do we know how they targeted the employees who were let go? Managerial ranking list? It would be nice to know if that was it because it would change the way I interacted with my manager.
“ Come on, a lot of companies did layoffs. Are all those companies terrible places? Icims is a growth company and the world faced a once in a lifetime pandemic.
Even though the company handled the layoffs terribly, I don't blame them for layoffs. I'm still really upset they are outsourcing engineers though.”
Layoffs were inevitable and only being roughly 10% of the company isn’t bad if you look at what others in the industry have done. BUT, how they chose the employees, the way it was executed, the way it was communicated internally and completely ignored with external communications was embarrassing.
The layoffs are only one part of why the majority of employees would now agree that this is no longer a good company to work for. Vista has successfully ripped out the culture that iCIMS once had. I understand that profits are the most important thing for any business, but achieving high profits can still be done without having complete disregard for employee satisfaction.
“ What's a 70/30 pay schedule? I'm in labs so I don't know“
70% base salary 30% incentive/commission. So you’ll only get your full on target earnings if you hit the unrealistic goals Vista sets.
I obviously like the extra days off, but I'm already preparing to leave this terrible company once covid is over

“Ceo is giving us a lot of extra days off. That's pretty cool”
It’s a lame attempt at trying to buy back the company culture. They cut over 10% of the staff and lowered a ton of people’s salaries by moving them to 70/30 pay structures. A couple of extra Fridays off won’t change the fact that Vista only cares about raising profits as quick as possible so they can sell iCIMS off. They don’t give a sh– about anyone at the company.

What did the old sales vp do so wrong for the layoffs? Pick the wrong people?
There a comment on here stating that Al (Services VP) was the main decision maker in the layoffs for that department. The repercussions for his idiocy was his firing this week, however, he did not work in a vacuum. Shouldn’t those who were around him be axed since they allowed him to f— up without giving their feedback based on tenure???
Al was an SVP in services and yes he was let go. This week was his last week. They are splitting up the role and now hiring VPs over both customer support and professional services separately reporting into the new COO.
You are probably mixing up the cto and a sales vp that was just let go.
No one said the cto was leaving. The only false rumor so far is icims cutting annual raises and only one person was saying that
The outsourcing one has been true so far. Initial group is around 15 engineers and they are continuing to hire more outsourced engineers
What is going on? I Didn’t understand the last 6 comments. Is the cto leaving now? I’m tired of these rumors... they turn out false more than half the time. If you didn’t hear it yourself then stfu and stop posting.
Thanks for your input Lynnie.
“I know this is going to get super down voted but you guys should really be talking to your managers about these feelings. It really is a Global Office. It's not any different than other large companies where they have employees all across the globe.
I foresee them going almost 100% remote which will allow them to pay US employees based on location. They would save a ton of money by reducing their Bell Works office space.“
If it's a global office, then there would be a sales team there like how the other icims offices have.
I don't like outsourcing but it makes sense financially. Most medium and large companies do it.
I can't see them letting everyone go remote. Theres a chance they would lose their nj tax credit.

LOL they have a second round of outsourced engineers coming in July
Lmao no. I know no company will admit they are outsourcing but it's happening and it's kinda annoying how they are wording it. "Global office"
Anyone here actually believe the cto about the India office? I definitely do not
The new COO held a meeting this week with services to manage the message around Al leaving. It was awkward and was clear he was forced out. I think it's from some of the decisions he made on who was let go during the layoffs. A lot of those decisions, especially with the leaders, made absolutely zero sense to anyone who has spent any amount of time in the department.
Yea it's Vineet. They brought Emil and Mike c
Who did they bring back in labs? I didn’t hear about that.
Is Vineet the senior director leaving?
Which Senior Director?
“Labs senior director is leaving. Was it forced?”
They brought people in labs that were laid off to fill open positions. Didn't expect them to do that
Labs senior director is leaving. Was it forced?
Anyone have news about the outsourcing? Still super worried about that
How were they due to COVID when there are a few new hires and we’ve been doing good quarterly?
I don’t think they won’t be as much next time but we will see a few trickles here and there. If you follow on LinkedIn, he’s bringing in the ‘old crew’ to c suite.
Eh I think layoff was a one time event due to covid and new ceo
Given you all days off in prep for when they lay your asses off. These shysters are pulling the oldest trick in the book. Apply the KY brotha.
Except if you are in services and have to be available to answer the phone
Another day off. Pretty nice
People are adding more glassdoor reviews but they don't rate the ceo ugggh
Anyone listen to the cheese and Chad podcast with Steve? First time any executive publicly acknowledged that layoffs happened.
At least the ceo rating on glassdoor is low lol
