Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

More of the same

So apparently we are to have one more layoff/restructuring/whatever but it is necessary because of the coronavirus. Does anybody buy that c-ap?

No, we don't need to have more people cut. What we need is new management that will know how to run this company instead of trying to make up for their mistakes by constantly having to reduce the number of employees to cut costs.

COVID-19 is nothing but an excuse for more of the same.

@3fof+151EjLLP It is obvious you are the effing a-hole. If you knew anything about PepsiCo its is that the layoffs are part of the contract signed with TCS and the other IKN companies. Their actions are based on that and that alone. The first wave was operations and infrastructure. Then database and LAN/WAN the last one was Development and deployment and the remainder of IT. This is still ongoing. Their actions are not driven by what you think is caring but cold hard cash in their pockets. Either you cannot comprehend these facts or you are one of the leeches infesting PepsiCo.

I got a huge raise. I went from managing merchandises to sales professionals. Only jobs added here. It’s wonderful Pepsi paid everyone full wage, didn’t lay any one off and actively looked to promote its internal talent!

Love this place

Is this the lowest I.Q. Thread of all time? Pepsico is one of the only fortune 50 companies that lost profit during corona to not impact employees with layoffs or wage cuts.

Your concern is they may take action? What kind of fuking a–hole are you?

So is the infamous IT Strategy now dead? Years of leadership being told it will not work were lost because some egotistical incompetent bench warmers knew better. How many people lost their jobs for a pipe dream that had zero chance of success.

Are you hearing what departments this might affect? I know food service has to many sales reps considering all the accounts that have gone out of business or not operating this summer season. I don't understand why they don't do a voluntary buyoit and let people who want to leave go. I was hired as college campus recruit and I have a long career ahead of me while a coworker with 35 years of service is begging for a package.
