The company probably just sat there and said to themselves, "can't wait to go to dinner," the union screwed their members and have no leverage.

Union s—s you are never held accountable for squat. If you push hard, half assed or not at all you get payed the same. One day I got tired of pushing hard and screwed off 8hrs a day. It was decaying my soul to be a lazy a– so I left. Making more money now and being actually productive since I left Union

No company wants a union and have to deal with employees who are just looking to avoid being held accountable to do a decent job. I am sure their are conscientious union employees, but there are far too many that are looking for any excuse to work....efficiency and quality drop 50% the moment a union shows up....its a weight around any company’s neck that will drag them under

It's clear FTR has the upper hand due to bankruptcy. The union has little leverage. If theres no money, theres no money. I always wonder why the union never gave their members enough info to educate themselves. Good luck to the guys stuck in the middle. To the guys with 25-30+service you should have said "bye bye" in Feb/Mar

FTR filed for bankruptcy what makes people think there will be a contract. What are the members going to do, strike?

The best case scenario would be to make the techs all contractors and give the rest of us a new contract.

Great news!! We are hammering management as we speak on a new contract. Bernie knows the importance of a strong union. Only sticky point is the techs. Management is pushing for more contractors for techs because of inabilities of current techs. We are pushing through these obstacles. Please, keep paying your union dues in the meantime. Union Strong!!
