HR not putting anything out???
Um, just people that worked there for years!
Sad to see stuff like this.
In this industry you simply plan for the worst. Hope for the best, do your best, and if you’re let go be happy you were given a shot.
Me, I found opportunity outside of the industry and working for a Fortune 100 food chain company. Started on cleanup, now I’m washing lettuce, and soon I’ll be on fries!
Buffoon or vulture?
- Posts soliciting info here are mostly researchers from speculators or hedge funds trying to make $ from your misery. Look for posts where they use really vague terminology or just sound like they don’t know any details about the company or structure etc.
- Anyone with insider knowledge IS NOT going to be posting it here. It’s not going to happen.
- Worried about losing your job? Take comfort that if they wanted rid of you, you’d be gone already (long gone). It’s pretty much decision by spreadsheet at this point. Try not to obsess about it, it’ll make it worse and paint a target on your back.
Oh yeah, and who speaks like “ Do not make light of people losing their jobs which affects families, other supporting companies, communities, and states.”? That sound oil field to you?
What a ridiculous post "Well, I work for HR and I wouldn’t ... " . Do not make light of people losing their jobs which affects families, other supporting companies, communities, and states.
Well, I work for HR and I wouldn’t usually say anything, but you seem really nice and, if you promise you don’t work for some grubby hedge fund I’ll tell you that senior management is actively planning to double the amount of current layoffs, with consolidation of product lines (and facilities) and divestment of “misfit” product lines. Ssh, promise not to tell anyone. Are you sure you don’t work for a hedge fund?
Broussard campus again really soon!
