why are the fake news activists targeting Oracle?

Industrial strength butthurt?

IBM and HPE are preparing layoffs that dwarf any O has ever had. Yet the traffic and vitriol on their pages on this website are tiny to what is encountered here.

Disney laid off over 100,000 and their page is silent.

Yet, another baseless rumor!

Ask yourself, why are the fake news activists targeting Oracle? Revenge? Loyalty to a competitor paying them extra dime to denigrate Oracle?

You should be actively looking for work right now. Don't wait to be laid off.

Much to my lack of self respect I have remained at Oracle far far too long and entirely fed up with this company's corporate clownship.

Most legitimate Oracle talent left many years ago and the dearth compounded by many rounds of mindless layoffs (ie: closing offices in UK, Germany, Austrailia) with disregard to key people in core product areas. The remaining management at Oracle is horrendously void of any productive roadmap to move this company forward.

My main career goal at this point is to be awarded the meager, bare bones layoff package and be put out of my misery.

Zoom cloud use has won the day. All of MH and LE claims came true. OCI is the bees knees.
Full speed ahead. Those platinum support 3rd party companies can deal with EBS and JDE.

Every company, including O, will use the lockdown/covid-19/unemployment to their advantage during any financial results disclosure. Full disclosure, I have no “inside” knowledge, but am an individual contributor. I Would be very surprised if O did not take this opportunity to let a few more go over the WARN number for the states, and the resume the death by 1000 cuts, started in 2017.

Why do you think the emerging market won't be effected and just midmarket/upmarket?

IBM just axed tens of thousands.

We are like IBM.

It'll be ugly.

It's definitely coming. Safra and her crew of flunkies need a way to keep Uncle Larry distracted and goose the stock price before the next earnings release on 6/17, and the Street loves a good dose of layoffs. They've run out of cash and bond borrowing with their $75B+ stock buyback binge, which has done nothing but keep the price where it was three years ago. 90% of their earnings-per-share growth the last two years has come from buying back shares. For all that, the stock is up just 35% in the last five years, less than half the gain of the Nasdaq Composite, and a third of the gain of the S&P 500 Information Technology sector.

A dying dinosaur run by an orange senile person and a gaggle of sycophants. Remind you of anything?
