Is there any way to refuse to train my replacement and still walk away with my severance?

@fuf, you have failed the test. You responded to a fake person.
Give him all wrong information. Use existing procedures, but change key points. Also, set up Knowledge Transfer calls and cancel them last minute, then set up another and do the same. You can stretch this on forever. Just say something suddenly came up. If your replacement is Indian, talk really really fast. Let them see how understanding every 5th word is like - like we had to deal with every day with them.
Then don’t train him that well.
I know the answer is probably no, but no harm in asking.
