NS- Not Smart Railroad. Run by Devils and Moneymen, they care less about worker than the money the worker generate. Rip off customers, dictate terms to customers, lay off in a jobless market when they can afford to keep people working.....it’s all in a days work for this company run by a Board that almost every member is from a different industry than railroading. It’s like running a company with completely unqualified leadership except they are only qualified in money and making it which is all they care about. Gone are the days your company was run by people who understood the actual industry they were in charge in. May Hunter Harrison rot in Hell with his personal entourage of Demon Torturers!!! Ewing (won't call him by his preferred name) was a sociopath. It says a lot when you won't list the place of burial in the obituary (Florida)! How do you wear one hat at home, and treat employees like trash? I have one story in particular that sums it ole Ewing. He asked a manager in charge of the hump at Queensgate Yard in Cincinnati (CSX), the height of the hump. The manager was within a couple of feet. He fired that manager for not being exact. His obit is still open for comments upon a Google search. Be sure to leave one!

You either serve God or Money. Those snakes who found this shameless way to run a railroad with pure greed hidden behind a fancy term that most people outside the industry can’t understand and worse to say that it’s progress and a way to complete in the market. They will get what’s coming to them.

"Train Dispatcher" sounds like a typical management shill, blame Union guys and rules for railroad failing or Not making money. The Union and rules wouldn't even be needed if the railroads were fair to their workers. You remember when they built the railroads, they left thousands of dead Chinese and other ethnic workers along the right of way because the railroads cared nothing for its workers. I imagine there are still bones buried under some mainline. When you talk about a railroad profiting you likely mean you want maximum profit at all times at the expense of every other part of your Business. What, so they can pay a dividend every quarter and the majority holders can make more money? Because that's it, a very few mega-shareholders make serious cash by owning the stock and reaping dividends. And of course managment that owns stock.its all about greed, moving freight is a side effect for the demoNS

I worked for the Delaware and Hudson Railway for nine years-
All I herd was poor management- No- it's union guys that think the railroad owes them a living-
While they slow switching operation to make their point- The cost of moving that freight with that much capital is going to cost a return on investment- The union work rules is the demise of cost saving and profits- The best way to make a profit is ridding of all the union slugs- sad thing is they just bump the good guys in most cases and cause the more layoffs-
