Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Benefits cost more on furlough???

I just checked (Friday evening) on the benefits site and it now has a section on what you want to do with your benefits during this furlough.

I made a print out of my benefits before all this hit and it is now 23 dollars more for the same coverage

It will also be on your current paycheck you get every 2weeks if you can't see it on the benefits web site

So why is it more????? Another call on Tuesday after the holiday to the benefits center...

All this could have been done more above board but then this is Xerox we are talking about...so sad!

This has nothing to do with the amount. Could be 3 dollars or 300 dollars. What it has to do with is how deceitful this company has become over the last several years. There is never an explanation which is under handed at the bare minimum. Think about this for a minute if you can wrap your head around this. If 3000 people had the amount changed without knowing it that nets quite a sum of money in Xerox’s favor. Apparently you trust xerox totally. You may have even been one of the furloughed people. I have worked for the real company for almost 50 years. 23 dollars is a visit to McDonalds for 2 people. You sure your not one of those lame managers???

Dude, all this over $23? If $23 means this much to you a re-evaluation is in order.

No...never smoked in my life...every amount is higher with the medical and life insurance (6x plus the company provided 1x insurance) being the major two contributors...it surprised me but like others, I don't trust this company anymore. I MADE an ASSUMPTION it would be the same...not 23 dollars more unless it's prorated for May plus a normal June??

Are you a smoker? I heard something about an increase in April or May if you are a smoker. My cost is the same but I was told not to expect a bill until the middle/end of June. We shall see
