Thread regarding Enterprise Rent-A-Car layoffs

What are the chances we really get called back?

We've been furloughed for two months now and there is no news on being called back yet. I'm worried that the call I might get one of these days will not be to call me back to work but to notify me that I've been permanently laid off.

Does anybody know if there are any major layoffs rounds planned before we fully reopen?

The key word there is "current" employer. If you were permanently laid off (terminated), you are no longer employed by Enterprise. They can offer a rehire and you can refuse. It depends on your state requirements on losing your unemployment if you refuse a job offer and even a call back from a furlough or temporary layoff. Not all states have the same requirements.

Workers who refuse to come back cannot keep collecting unemployment. Once your current employer offers you a position, your refusal to accept immediately invalidates any subsequent unemployment filings. Why do people insist on posting misinformation like this?

I was rehired. Because alot of workers are refusing to come back. So they can collect the extra money

There will be more layoffs if summer travel is low. I would look for alternate work to be safe.

Truefully depends on your loca tion and role. Going forward I expect maybe only half come back( speculation)

I think earliest late June early July. If u can find job I suggest to try.
