So JG is out visiting stores?? Why don't you stop by one of your smaller stores. Come by and see how your people are running on empty doing a million things in a building that is hotter then hell. Watch them deal with the rude customers that complain about the wait and how messy the store is. Managers doing everything they can to help on the floor while trying to assure the colleagues that things will get better and more help is coming. It's sad when you can't get your people back in the store because they make more money on unemployment. Can't say I blame them when was the last time anyone received a decent raise? People can't live on the penny raises we receive each year. Come and see how it is in your non growth doors.

I'm in a growth store and I'm making DOUBLE on unemployment than I make at the store (and I'm not even a $9/hr salesperson). I've been here for 3 years and am making $50 cents more than when I started. And no raises this year IF I go back! YAY!
Regardless of growth or neighborhood, he should come unannounced and see how it really is!! Whenever corp comes to store visits, the store spends a sh– ton of hours , has Visual Directors, etc from other Districts help with execution for that ONE visit. But that's not real life in the eyes of the everyday customer.
It would be great if it were announced so Jeff can see what's really going on and why we need extra hands!!! He'll see AYS line out the door , with the area looking like a bomb went off. There's only so much staffing left. If the store looks a bomb went off, yes, part blame is on Store Manager, etc but really it's on the COMPANY!!! These associates are doing their best for min wage. They are only human!! That's what happens when you cut staffing to bare min (even before COVID).
