Verizon is making reps in open stores go back to their store starting July 7. Verizon is making everyone wear Verizon provided masks. You can not wear your own mask, even if it is better than the ones verizon provides
One fact that probably everyone knows already is that leadership reads these forums. I’m not just talking at the store level either. Even though a very small tiny percentage of employees read and or post on here it should be valuable information. I have heard calls where a director has quoted comments on here word for word. The next pulse survey should be interesting unless Verizon isn’t honest about the results. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE working in retail agrees that sunsetting the 30% hazard pay is premature....even the managers even though they are too afraid to provide that feedback to directors etc.
Wow! So many down votes for @eaj+15Bzkg2Y. The entire redeployment stinks. Perhaps it needs articulating. The initial survey did not say it was voluntary. Yet, many times leadership referred to it as such. Very insulting. Thanking those "who volunteered to redeploy and serve the company." Meanwhile, those retail reps who conveniently did not tell the truth about home internet access and those who have the worst Voice scores and those SMs who were on a short leash were all home volunteering 20 hrs per wk while getting paid for 40. Remember, some started WFH April 12. WFH support should have been "volunteering 20 hrs per wk to WFH roles" and been compensated the same way. Now, with the return to the stores, WFH should have also been assigned alternating 3 and 4 day work wks with 7.5 hr shifts to match the store commitments (only without hazard pay.) From April 12 until now, that's nearly $8000 difference. Just give us the ultimatum to WFH or take a package already. Don't stretch it out so that everyone else that's been laid off has first mover advantage for finding work elsewhere.
Why pay you out when you will just quit if I don't. I have all the cards MF.
Break down Verizon offer the front line employees severance! The same one you offered 2 years ago! 3 weeks for every year worked and 1 year of benefits for the transition. A lot of 15 + years front line employees would jump! Put the option on the table. Like your management always told us : Change energizes us" !
When I took the survey, I put working in the store my next to last choice! So what do they do, They redeployed me to a store on June 1st? What I've seen in the stores the last 21 days ,you would think covid 19 has gone away and dissapeared here in the Northeast. It has not! The safety protocols are slowly being rescinded by the company, for example they put a new sign on the door yesterday stating that the customers can make an appointment for tech support? I dont care what the do nothing store management tells me to do! I am not touching these people's phones! The 6 foot rule not adhered too, mgmt not recommended digital sales as much as a month ago, content transfer and open FedEx box syndrome! The stores are not safe. Whsts changed only the stores are getting busier so take away the 30% Doesn't make sense!
The deployment was done completely wrong,
Everyone should have been deployed, teams stay with their teams , if a store stayed open than that whole team works in their store. Any store closed than the GM becomes WFH customer service manager and their SM’s and SS’s become customer service reps..by doing this when a store reopens than that whole team goes back.
They way the did it was stupid, I've lost 3/4 of my team because they got deployed back to their stores
States are all opening back up. That is why hazard pay is going away. For those that opted to work from home, it was your choice. People who worked in stores knew they would work less hours. That’s why they chose the store
@eaj+15Bzkg2Y How ridiculous do you sound. You failed to mention the WFH jobs didn’t start until 2 months after reps were back working in retail. You already had an 8 week vacation STFU. The time obviously equaled out you BEE OTCH. I do agree sunsetting the hazard pay is very premature. They are obviously stopping it because more stores are opening back up and that will add a ton to payroll. Funny thing is they never even claimed that working in retail is less hazardous just took away the pay.
Leadership can’t make visits to their stores for obvious reasons but they felt the need to remove the essential pay...how does that make sense?!
They should keep hazard lay in place as long as these covid policies policies and procedures are in place! You must wear a mask at all times, but no hazard pay....isn't that backwards?
the hazard pay was unfair from the start. reps in retail work 3 days a week and still get paid 40 hours. WFH reps 40 hours no hazard pay 5 day a week. so reps not redoployed at all still get 40 hours.
With all the stores that have had outbreaks how is this possible...
