SEVERANCE in California?

Does anyone know what the severance package will be in California, for stores that are closing?

Severance is not a guarantee. Also if it is paid it is to management and full timers only. As someone else said it is 1 week per year up to 8 weeks unless you are salaried and then the max is 29 weeks. But since we get paid every 2 weeks it will only be up to 4 checks for full timers and 10 checks for salaried. Also, this is not mandatory to pay, so don’t count on it. Just be thankful to collect unemployment. Hope this helps.

The law allows for pay without adequate notice. Eddie will give adequate notice, IMO to avoid the liability.

There’s federal law I believe. Something about when a company of a certain size lays off more than a certain amount of people.

But I’m sure Eddie is doing whatever he can right now to ensure he wont have to pay it.
