Very disappointing that Macy’s would hire someone for first round ... put their life at risk and then lay them off. Not a good store manager in my opinion!!
Agree on below. They could have been making the extra 600 while tanning outside with a margarita in hand. This is concerning.
they called my coworker back and she declined 1st round she got laid off today ..so they aint playing
Yeah that’s pretty c-appy to return for a over month and then get cut— you could have been collecting those extra $600 unemployment benefits which expire at the end of July. That really is thoughtless of Macy’s . But the people at the top live in their own world and don’t think about things like that.
We are a flagship store in a high end mall. So far the bridal registry team and housewares sales mgr as well as the ays counter people were let go.. The security and operations manager was also let go but first he had to call all the employees who were let go.
I was brought back May 4 & got axed today.....I cant believe I got cut when I returned at first call.

Yes, I was brought back from furlough 3 weeks ago and laid off today. My last day will be Tuesday.
I have been on furlough since March. Just received call I’m still employed. Very grateful!!!
