If I was on furlough and just got laid off, do I ride out my existing unemployment until it ends ? I believe there is a way to extend benefits after that?
I know the extra 600 ends end of July. Has there been word from fed gov of providing additional $ assistance after 7/31? I heard there might be additional money but not necessarily $600. Thank you!

Severance. Review state law. You do not to claim as income for unemployment for some. Mass is one as long as you sign a company "release if claims"
The House has been sounding an alarm for two months about giving help to states. Also, Senator Graham (R) is on record that no way will he support the $600 extra over his dead body. Hope the Senate will even take it up as to date they refuse to even discuss it. The current administration in the WH isn't even mentioning people on unemployment.
Yes, I believe the Trump administration is considering a "generous" Phase 4 aid package. But it is likely to be another lump sum, or at least with strings attached if a recurring payment. Can't continue to make it more profitable to stay on unemployment than to go to work. Not the best way to rebuild the economy.
Yes and make sure to report your severance pay when it is direct deposited or you get a check
