All these layoffs happening all the time and the threat of being cut constantly hanging over my head have k–led any motivation I had left to do my job properly. And why would I bother to give it my all? If I'm not laid off in this round, chances are I'll be cut in the next one, which is always just a few weeks away. So it really doesn't make any difference.
Anybody else feels like this?
To the person saying "You're all missimg the point"......YOU need to open your eyes. Mass Layoffs are not going to solve the problem. The company has an terrible reputation. Consumers, businesses and industry employees are well aware that Allstate is sub par . It is my opinion that you salvage that by attracting world class employees with competitive pay, incentives, perks and put them in a positive, diverse, and inclusive work environment. Layoffs, going all in on a deficient Virtual claim product, smothering micro-managing, and a fear based sweatshop work environment is not the solution...in my opinion.
You’re all missing the point. Geico and progressive have blown past Allstate. Just telling Wilson to take a pay cut doesn’t fix that. Allstate is a bloated company and these changes have to be made for the sake of ALL employees. It’s not corporate greed, it’s survival.
I still can’t believe they are doing mass layoffs during this pandemic , especially when they made billions in profits last year . Greed.
I feel the same way why bother giving it your all when we have to worry about getting canned here’s an exciting though hey Tom why don’t you and all the other dead weight take a 50% pay cut to keep your employees .....
It’s tough for sure... hard time sleeping...these people making these decisions have no clue of what it really takes to be on the front line.. to be one of the people really providing value to the customer
