What do you plan to do if you job is impacted? Will you get a job with one of the Big 3 or will you rebrand yourself to get out of insurance entirely?

And there you have it...saying Allstate is not like Geico and Progressive is the entire point why we are here. Its probably ironic that you say that here, and yet bash Allstate for making these changes saying it's not fair, blah blah blah. Fact is, Allstate isn't like Geico and Progressive, and that's whats prompting all this change, because Geico and Progressive and speeding past Allstate.
I am so sick of the crybabies on this site. The whole lot of you should grow up.
Any company that sells 100% on price is a scam company. What they do to their customers is near criminal.
I should have went to progressive while I had the chance. They were hiring in the thousands last year and they were able to poach a lot of ppl from Allstate. I stook around because I believed in Allstate and their culture. Now I'm here with egg on my face! So to answer your question, I will probably be under a bridge if my job is impacted. >:(
For your information GEICO and Progressive are not scam companies but way better than Allstate not just for customers but also towards their employees. Consumer behavior is changing and people are shopping around for insurance ( leave State Farm’s and Allstate) so if you want to live in your la la land( Allstate) thinking GEICO or Progressive are scam companies then live your lie and be a fool. These 2 companies are far ahead of Allstate(very old school). Good luck thinking you will survive.

I would never ever work for those insurance scam companies known as Geico or Progressive.
I left the company 3 years ago and retired due to health reasons and my wife had a reasonable job at the time. I still have friends that are employed and truly feel terrible in what they are doing. I did get another job and it took me many attempts and I am happier with it. Something that helped me was getting a resume service to write my resume. I wanted a Civil Service job and the company put it in a format that the robots that read them in mass could pick up my key words and pass it on to a human. I hope everyone that wants to stay does, but this was very helpful to me just in case.

Came from body shop as manager, hired to be auto tech. Now 22 years later will pack my bags , with head down walk back to bodyshop to complete my work/retirement plan.
59 and 36 years... already been through closings and moves... hopefully enough severance to get me to 60.. probably get a part time job, maybe something like working for an ambulance chaser
