Heard of a couple of people but not sure if it’s performance related or a big RIF. It’s the AA org in BUR/SCA. Anyone else ?

Oracle Performance Review is a joke. I took it very seriously when I first joined, spent a few days to make it perfect, get reviews from coworkers in other teams. Received the topmost rating, for 0% raise. This went on for a few years. I wised up, learned I could take last years review, hack on a few line items, add/remove a reviewer or two. And zoom...no effect, topmost rating. When salary review time came, I complained big time, since I could not expect the company to provide compensation nor cost of living increases. I wanted stock grants! Not options. That was the magic....zoom....Larry doesn't like to share, but it is not "salary".
Performance related? Is this a joke? ORCL has never given a c-ap about performance or professionalism. It’s a welfare program for continents other than the one it’s headquartered on. Employees are just there to create distractions while management cooks the books and pumps stock fraud.
Fraud fraud fraud.
Absolutely it is not performance related, some of the laid-off are top performers, some have been awarded the gold, and diamond stars. The goal of it is to reduce the cost, and as a natural outcome increase profit.
Based on who I heard is being impacted, it's not performance related. One of the names has been a consistent top performer.
This is a "make the books look good" RIF.
SUN Microgarbage? bye bye and take Java with you
