Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Just Offer Packages:

I mean, I know upper leadership visits this forum. Why aren’t you just offering packages to your employees?

Some people cannot work in the stores, some people cannot work from home, and NOBODY — or at least very few — will move to PT roles voluntarily.

We’re going to return to the store and halt productivity because our pay structure is crooked. I have no incentive to want to perform for Verizon.

@gwu+15JbFNXD: Additionally, I hope the people that return to stores are taking their sweet time with every customer. Why rush anymore? There’s no benefit to us to sell any product or service. Use every customer as an opportunity to reduce Verizon’s revenue.

@gwu+15JbFNXD: I fully anticipate that very few of us will move to PT. It’s a waiting game at this point. I say stay employed and hang on to your role until Verizon realizes they aren’t saving as much money as they thought they would. I’m hoping Q3 results will benefit us and prompt a package offer; Verizon is bleeding end-to-end.

Why would they offer anything right now? They want you to take this pay-cut and smile. The more that go to 32 or 24 the less they pay you now and later when there is a package. Also some will just quit and leave the company (more money they save). It’s just a numbers game they probably ran all these numbers before making this decision. Offering packages as another option to PT would be the right and human thing to do, but that’s not what Verizon is about. It’s all about the bottom line.

@ktn+15JbFNXD: Leadership is brain dead. DMs should be the first on the chopping block, then GMs and SMs. We hold all the cards if we’re willing to unify and dissent.
