Does anyone know the real number of eliminations. Macys says 3,900. But, I bet it's a whole lot more than that.

Contact media ... Atlanta and New York based reporters have put their contact here in past.
They only reported 3900 full time corporate. That is about 20% of corporate positions.
Not sure if the same ratio extends to customer service centers, fulfillment centers and the greater stores organizations.
It sounds much higher.
Has to be 30-40k. My store got nuked
I think it's between 35-38k.
If Annapolis does ~30M and they lost 100 associates, Columbia is ~50M and they lost 134... do the math. That's a huge amount of associates for 30M/50M dollar doors!!
Think about how many associates lost their job that work in a 60-100M door!
We have ~500 stores.
Weird that the news isn't picking this up. I got the Macys google alert about Columbia and Annapolis (the 2 Baltimore stores) but no other local news about other Macys stores.
Media actually report facts....??? What are you thinking?!
Yeah, +20,000 is probably right. The media probably doesn't know yet.
I read that two Baltimore area stores lost over 100 employees each. That hit the news because layoffs of over 100 people have to be reported to the state.
Heard there was at least 25,000 from the Macy’s Retail Stores, I wonder why the media isn’t talking about that?
Probably around 30,000
