AME is gone
It has been decimated

No new products, no in house manufacturing, no suppliers willIng to sign on to Honeywell’s abusive T&C’s (except for 3x market rates), etc. Management destroyed AME years ago when they decided Honeywell was no longer a manufacturing business. Moneyhell s—s.
I was there for almost 20 years. This is the worst layoff I've ever seen. Even worse than the 2005 reorg. So many knowledgeable, good, hard working, never had a bad review employees were cut. So many in each area, I don't see how they're going to survive. Those who are left are going to have to work 120 hrs a week to keep up and that's only after they figure out everything they need to know about how to do their jobs properly. M—acre doesn't even begin to describe the cuts this round. I was p-ss-d when I got cut but now that I see who else was pushed out the door, I feel sorry for those who are left after this week. Darius has ruined Aero.
Only our customers can hold us accountable for our actions...the process at Minneapolis will not survive
We are doomed by the lack of AME. Like down to 2. Also heard the quality manager was fired. She was the best we had in years.
Haiku, haiku, how?
First five, then seven, then five.
Haiku, haiku, yes.
Wow. I used to be in AME. Glad to be out of HON. I took the opportunity and severance and GTFO in 2016. Glad I didn't go back when I was being recruited to return.
No more AME engineering group or a very small skeletal team remains. There should be a combination of all engineering in the AERO judging by such a reduction.
From what I understand, the pretty much fired 75% of them, at most sites.
As in, “we’re folding AME back into Engineering” no longer exists, or they fired all the AME at your site?
So again, who will do all the work they used to do? Who will know the processes like the old timers they just axed?
Reads like a haiku
AME no longer exists!
