Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Short term thinking

Was right sized this week and so were many experienced sales people with many years experience. Senior management is unaffected and instead are hiring more “ commercial experts” to tell the remaining few how to be more productive . Lots of absolutely useless busy work assigned by these id–ts who have no idea about the markets they are directing. Senior management starting at the top are totally clueless and inept and resort to micromanaging rather than strategizing for the future.

Wow sad to read they axed a 40+ year employee. I would have to think after 40+ years he should be way ready to retire both financially and emotionally. 39 + years here and retired 6 years ago from Aero and it was really difficult to hang on the last couple years. Quite frankly I really disliked working there the last few years. What you people are going thru now is tragic. Good Bless and GL finding a new job if you need it.

40 years at Hon means he probably knows a thing or two. Is there a route to teach that can keep him occupied? As a society, we shouldn’t toss that investment just because Honey did...

Can I be honest? Though this pandemic may be taking place and affecting many lives, I believe Honeywell played really SLICK to let my Dad go, after over 40 YEARS with the company!!! He is 3 years out from retirement, and I must admit, I am emotionally torn for him. We are people of faith, and we believe God will make a way, even if there seems to be NONE! God help everyone they let go.
