Or today, to be more precise considering the time. I guess sleep is not in my cards tonight. I'm getting really tired of ALWAYS having to worry about layoffs. And the current state of our industry and the entire economy is just making things worst. I should have left when I had the chance...

Yes. You are right. You should have left when you had the chance. That goes for all the rest of you too. Don’t wait to be laid off. Get your resume together and get going.
Hey @hpk+15KnVP0x, why would they go through the time and expense of a layoff only to go through it all over again a month later? What is the business justification?
@lmq+15KnVP0x is right in any potential layoff is beyond your control, but is wrong when he says, I wouldn’t believe the BS on this site, it’s predominantly bitter people that have a grudge against Oracle for some reason."
I had accurate information, and I posted it. And, other information posted was SPOT ON, down to the day, the package details, etc.
More layoffs are coming in August - which is a shame.
All I can say is polish up your resume and start to look for an opportunity and company that is worthy of your skills.
Use your unease and take action to improve your career and job prospects.
Get some sleep. Regardless of outcome, you need to be awake and on the lookout. Be grateful you still have a job. Falling asleep at work from not sleeping at nights may cost you the job you're trying to keep.
Stop panicking, you can’t change or influence something that is not in your control. I wouldn’t believe the BS on this site, it’s predominantly bitter people that have a grudge against Oracle for some reason, maybe there were just unlucky as part of a redundancy round, maybe they were @&£) at their job and fired. Either way they know nothing more than you do and are hell bent on making stuff up so they can feel better about their sad little lives.
