Let's be honest, working at Allstate wasn't always this bad. On the contrary, I used to enjoy and truly love my job years ago. But that has completely changed. Now even the idea of heading to the office makes me feel sick to my stomach. Am I the only one who feels this way? And are there people who actually still enjoy their jobs here?

What happened to all those rah rah emails we were getting from Shapiro every Friday afternoon? Pictures of his puppies... stories about his family... such bs... hasn’t sent a single one since the hatchet announcement
It was great till Shapiro showed up. One person in the Tempe, AZ office a few years ago had a heart attack and died in the office. Not sure if it was work/stress related, but, things haven't been the same for many years now.
I have noticed that when I go on vacation my blood pressure drops back down to normal. This high stress working environment with less staffing and more claims Coming in the door may physically k–l people
You are far from alone. Many feel deceived, abused, hopeless and atomized.
I have no motivation to do any of this work before me. Each piece of work is a reminder of what this company really thinks about me.
Listen, it’s a tough time, no doubt about it. But to discount how we’ve been treated over our time here at Allstate is ignorant.
If you don’t like your job or aren’t happy, YOU need to take responsibility and change it. Hold true to your morals if you feel people are being treated unfairly and go work elsewhere where you feel they treat their employees fairly. Harsh words, but we all need to hear it.
It feels awful the way we’re being treated. The economy is bad and so is the job market . Having a family and bring the breadwinner and source of health insurance is a major part of the stress. They’re playing God with our lives.
Not at the moment.. very long term employee here, consistently high performing. I can't even tell you the emotions I have being treated by this.
And I have been through several office closings and remained. It's never been like this.
I know no one - who can think objectively about what is happening - who feels good about working at Allstate.
Definitely not the only one. Almost hoping I get laid off to give me time and motivation to find something better.
