Wow, pretty grim.
One point made is with the stock buybacks amounting to about 2/3 of the share price increase since 2010, and also in LE now having about 36 percent of the stock, might be looking to take Oracle private. That would solve some people's cash needs and let them exit Oracle or the planet without tanking the stock.
Now, what the private equity owners would do...usually they carve away businesses they don't care about quite ruthlessly. Cut cut cut.
