Yes there will layoffs read between the lines. I can personally speak to the fact I know about a dozen people looking to take there talent elsewhere. Lets also bring up the fact that we will not be fully retail operational by the end of Q3. The retail landscape has changed for good not in the employees favor. Personally if you are WFH get comfortable you ain't going back to a store till some time in 2021. The leases for stores that where to end this year will not renewed there is no need to have 1600 plus stores. Most if not all of retail will be forced into part time they have a quota of how many people they need it's corp America. Covid 19 only sped up the company's plan to do this there was talk about this at the tail end of Q4. Use tap and apply for one of the telesales wfh position because that is the furture better to get in early or go B2B due to companies expanding there wfh and need solutions to make it happen.
The corona is cloaking massive layoff announcements throughout the country. ATT recently just had a big layoff as well as many other companies but the impact is absorbed without much fanfare because of the pandemic. There is also this myth in Verizon that there will some major exodus of reps because of the new commission structure. This is almost laughable because nobody is going to leave a 60k full time time job where you basically clerk all day long. There are people doing hard labor out there for half the money. Oh and you can’t go looking for a new job when there is nothing to look for.
Verizon was smart about it, they screwed commission all to hell...again...and people are willingly leaving. No bad press on layoffs
