Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

NBL is the laughing stock of independents

Has th company done anything right? Overpaying for assets. Poor dedication to community - see Ardmore. Laid off the wrong workers. Too many process improvements projects and not able to finish one. Capital projects not producing results. Operational waste. Too many systems. XX process that is peer reviewed by id–ts. Senior managers and VPs with no colleague education or understanding of the business - just kiss butts. They cook books to make the earning look good bu the metrics are never the same baseline. I can go on and on and on.... ask for voluntary package.

3 years of hearing about how people in West Texas don’t know anything. Well it looks like Noble wasn’t as sharp as they thought

I’ve worked for both OXY and Noble. Noble is BY FAR a worse company than OXY. OXY is 100 times better than Noble. Not even close...
OXY got caught (bad timing) by this pandemic and probably paid too much for Anadarko, but when it has run its course, and OXY can sell some of the properties it planned to sell, OXY will be in great shape.

Chesapeake was and is worse than Noble. Oxy is better. At least they can find oil.

Doesn’t Chesapeake really own the distinction of laughing stock? Or perhaps Oxy?

i am considering asking my supervisor to be laid off. i know its crazy but i really hate working here. its degrading and depressing and some times embarrassing as the poor reputation we have in the industry.
