Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

You are deserting me in my time of need...

When we first met I was excited to start our adventure together knowing we would make a great team. I was wide eyed, and ready for all the things you offered me. I believed in your promises that I was part of the Best Bank in Town and always followed your every direction. I was willing to go the extra mile for you and in my faithfulness I turned others down because I believed in your vision for us. Now you are leaving me for a younger and better version of myself.

You are deserting me in my time of need and the one thing I’ve asked in this time is for you to be transparent. You can’t even do that. I do however have a bit of an embarrassing part of me that hopes that the younger version of myself treats you the way you have treated me. That they wear you out, lie to you, make false promises and takes you for all you’ve got as you did to me.

Cold but accurate Tough Love. Playing in a different sandbox now. Survival is a political game as much as a hard work one. BTW it is going to get worse before it gets better. Change is here, change or get run over by it!

Get over it. If you've spent most of our career @ BB&T you have been living in a bubble. What you are experiencing now is the way the rest of the corporate world has operated, for over a decade. You are just late to the game.

There is NO corporate loyalty and the company owes you nothing beyond what is in your 'at will' employment agreement. You are a row on a spreadsheet.

The faster you understand this, the faster you will adjust and succeed. Enough with the victim bu11sh*t. It is a waste of time and energy.
