Allstate Continuous Improvement Barometer Survey

Did anyone else in claims receive an email about a Barometer survey requesting an opportunity to share experiences at Allstate, and identify strengths and opportunities for problem solving?

I know that we have had these survey's in the past, but what do they expect the pulse of the company to be given the c-ap that has taken place over the last month. Can't imagine it being too good right now if most people are honest.

Can they track employee responses?

I remember them sending out the Inspire survey right before they dropped a bomb on us, and then used positive responses from the survey to talk about how great the company was doing, right before mentioning a RIF.

Not anonymous don’t answer honestly if you don’t want to be sabotaged

it’s all connected. The layoffs, the surveys, the different regions, I see it now.

100% correct. @nbf+15YcUmmR re surveys not anonymous. After being fed up with my manager's ineptitude, I answered the Inspire survey honestly and within months I was attacked with completely false accusations and fired. HR was in on it! Terribly unethical company.

They are not anonymous, if you answer poorly about your manager or the company (on other surveys) they will find a way to get rid of you. Did you ever notice that the link is only tied to you and no one else. Once you complete it it expires. I've gotten notifications from my leaders and managers specially just to me about not completing a voluntary survey and asking me to complete it. That's just proves it is not anonymous.

It’s more about your FPL performance
Their jobs are on the line too so I guess they threw this survey in as a way to consider who stays or who goes.

Yes it was about your immediate manager and in my case he has always treated us well and is also stressed about his position. It states in the beginning of the survey that it is confidential, but not anonymous. So home office will know who you are but supposedly will not share with your leader. If it a bad enough response I’m sure it would be shared though.

Of course the Barometer is just for your immediate manager. The soul less arrogant pieces of human garbage higher up keep raking in their 6, 7, and even 8 digit annual salaries. They could care less what any of us think of them or even if we live or die.

Yep, we got it, but since it focused on my immediate manager, who has been great during all of this and is as concerned as the rest, I had nothing but positive responses for them.

It’s part of your bosses PDS, so even if you leave a terrible survey it will only affect your immediate leader. They have been sending these out for years, it’s nothing to do with the layoffs, but like everything else at Allstate is done with terrible timing and no regard for those affected. I can’t imagine how many managers are going to recieve terrible scores only because their teams don’t know this

The barometer is a reflection of your immediate leader. It is not a reflection of upper management or the company. Like the rest of us, your manager doesn't know how they will be impacted and are doing the best they can given the situation. Individual responses are confidential and your leader will not know how you responded unless you include comments that make it easy to figure it out.

The questions mostly pertained to immediate management. I wonder if they are going to use these results to filter out some of the CSLs.

A better barometer may have been to ask questions about the way employees view senior leadership!

Despite what anyone tells you yes they can track and know who answered how on the Barometer. This was actually shown to me by someone that had a TDY in tech and was able to pull this up.
By the way we received this in agency services today as well.
