Does anyone know when Allstate will stop using esurance claims software? How about when esurance claims will stop being processed by esurance??

In a meeting ESU had yesterday, the ESU policies will be written until December and phase over to Allstate when the policies renew. Esurance was not purchased due to their "better" claims handling. ESU was purchased to help Allstate's non existent on line presence so they can compete with carriers such as Progressive and Geico. There are too many different changes from day to day to know who is staying and who is going. One day ESU employees are told that they will be taking an assessment test and then the next day they aren't sure if or when the test will be given. If by saying over paying and paying for things that aren't owed then yes ESU is "top notch". ESU and Allstate employees are both fair game. If you're thinking ESU employees are safe you are sadly mistaken.
Esurance polices are sold as both 6 and 12 month terms (even though a high majority of them are a 6 month terms). But your statement about ESU policies begin sunset end of June is inaccurate. They still sell them! Apparently through December
Per the JD Power Auto Claim Satisfaction surveys, Allstate outranked Esurance and always has. However; they're both not very good. You can easily google that lol.
It’s common sense. ESU will need to service claims until the last policy written expires. If the last policy was June 28 and the policies are 6 months (Someone at Esurance enlighten us if policies are 6 vs 12 months) then most of the claims will end Dec 28. Claim volume around November will fall off a cliff if not earlier.
Allstate will need to transition Esurance people kept over to Allstate’s claim system. Or will Esurance work Allstate’s new direct online policy claims.
There is no communication going on and seems like they are winging it without much of a plan. With the way layoffs being handled I wouldn’t expect every aspect of the transition handled any differently.
Do you have any info on when esurance will no longer be using there claims program?
The above reply is false. Esurance claims are being converted as we speak. ask the tech guys... why do you think the network has been having so many "glitches" and "outages" lately.
So when will they stop serving esurance claims?
Esurance claims programs are here to stay as are their claims employees. That was a big part of the reason along with their online programs and systems why Esurance was purchased. Esurance had a top notch reputation in terms of claims handling and service in the industry. Claims is one of the areas in which many Esurance employees will be kept over Allstate claims employees when all cuts are done and it should be this way. After all they say they are keeping the "best of the best" and Esurance claims have regularly put Allstate claims to shame.
