"one of Thomas Reuters' major shareholders".... The Thomson Family own 70% of the company. I am sure their ownership is in the single digits. There is no way TR is walking away from $60M. They are selling the service to a Law Enforcement Agency, not a d–g cartel. There is nothing unethical about it.
The professor (Nina Gardner) they quoted in the article is lefty globalist. So of course she is against any that prevents open borders. I bet she lives is in gentrified neighborhood in DC that pushed out the same people she claims to care about.

This article isn’t about TR contracts that assist in the enforcement of existing US immigration laws .... it’s about TR contracts that impede international asylum seekers.
