Got told today i will be reporting to new iberia office from now on. Will continue to live in houston but only be paid hours and mileage from new iberia office to heliports.

Sounds like they’re actually saying
“You still have a job, if you want to live in New Iberia (sounds like Siberia), ;-). but we really, really, really wish you would just quit, because we really, really, really don’t want to lay you off and pay your severance or unemployment!”
It’s a common sh_tty HR tactic to offer an unpalatable situation when the goal is work force reduction on a dime.
that last post sounds like it was written by someone who knows he cant do better anywhere else. NOV is filled with people that live by the creed, CYA. NOV is filled with marginal employees that kiss a*s and are still employed because the "Know" someone. the interbreeding has done nothing but turned a good company bad over these past years.
You can always quit and go and find another job then. This economy and oilfield have so many job openings right now that you’ll get another job faster than the time it’ll take your spit to hit the ground.
Or you could be happy and thankful you still have a job. Lots of other people would have no complaints being in your situation right now.
